Last week I had the absolute pleasure of working on a personal branding shoot with artist Elise Mendelle. Elise started painting 8 years ago for fun but has now turned her hobby into a successful business. She regularly sells pieces on commission and exhibits in arts shows throughout London and further afield.
Elise needed a set of photos to use across her website and Instagram account. She also needed images for postcards and promotional material for her exhibitions. When I asked her what sort of photos she was after she said “I want them to convey more about my paintings and show a more cohesive brand. I want to get across my vision in the pictures and I’d like a very clean shoot that is fun and colourful”
The session took place at Elise’s home. This is where she does a lot of her painting when she’s not at her studio. I worked from her brief to capture both images of her with her paintings plus some fun images of Elise on her own. She was a little worried about having her photos done but soon warmed up and was delighted with the outcome!
