I’m a maternity photographer based in North London. I also cover baby, child and family photography always using natural light in a relaxed, informal setting.

Maternity photography is so rewarding.  To have the opportunity to photograph this amazing time in a couple’s life is really special and I tailor each of my shoots to the individual client making sure they get exactly the shots they want.

Some women can feel self-conscious about their body during pregnancy but I will soon put everyone at ease making sure my shoots are very relaxed and enjoyable. I love discussing birth plans, guessing names and empathising about pregnancy symptoms and I always leave the session knowing my clients feel fabulous and excited to see their selection of photos in which they look stunning, glowing and happy!

My maternity shoots take place either at my client’s home or out and about on location. We will have a conversation prior to the shoot so we can discuss the session in detail and I can give guidance as to what to wear. It’s good to have a selection of outfits on hand for a variety of different shots.

Sometimes a selection of props can also make for some fun photos!

It is so lovely to involve big brothers or sisters in a maternity shoot. Children are always super excited to get involved and it is always so much fun getting them to kiss mummy’s bump and talk all about the new baby!

The best time for a maternity shoot is around 32 weeks, any later and you will most likely be feeling very tired, heavy and perhaps too uncomfortable to have your photos taken! Many of my maternity clients book my bump to baby package which includes a newborn shoot within a week of the birth of the new baby. You can see details of my packages here
