It was right in the middle of the July heatwave when I set off for this newborn photoshoot in Islington. My advice to new parents before a newborn photoshoot is to turn up the heating and make sure the house is extremely warm to help settle the baby and keep them sleepy. This was not necessary on this day!

This was a very special shoot as this baby boy was a long awaited sibling for his gorgeous big sister. My newborn shoots are about capturing moments of bliss. This was not hard to do with this family as the love between these two siblings was bursting at the seams!

At just 8 days old this little boy was an absolute dream to photograph. He slept beautifully throughout most of the shoot. Even when he woke up he was serene and calm! We started off with the sibling shots so his big sister could be included in the action from the beginning. I then went on to the individual baby shots whilst she had a rest moving on to family shots at the end. A shoot like this takes between 2-3 hours but time always fly when you’re in the company of gorgeous babies!

This lovely family were about to move abroad so it was lovely for them to have the photos done in their house full of memories.
