As I sit here at my computer looking out of the window at the cold, bleak January weather I am yearning for the beautiful sunshine and colours of last autumn. I had the pleasure of shooting some stunning autumn outdoor sessions last year. I think it is about time I blogged about them!

This first shoot was with a gorgeous family in the beautiful location of Cassiobury park in Watford. I can’t believe I have never done a shoot here before. The colours were amazing and there were so many different areas to explore. The boys were a delight to photograph and really up for having a good time! I just love this beautiful golden autumn light.

This next shoot was with two beautiful girls and there gorgeous mother.I was particularly excited about this session not only because the light and setting was perfect but also because the family’s dogs came in on the act. Divine!

It was an absolute pleasure to photograph a fellow photographer with her lovely children on this shoot. As photographers we hardly ever have the chance to get in the picture. As a mother this is SO important! I love the autumn colours in these photos, proof that what you wear on your shoot really does make a difference!

And finally…..I can’t resist adding these three handsome young men to the mix. Ok so they are my boys and yes I am biased but still, having photos of my own children helps me understand the use joy of the families I photograph when they have their own set of images in their hands!
